In the spirit of people posting their top-ten albums from their teen years, I tried to remember what I was mostly listening to between the ages of 13 and 18. Mostly, I remember listening to “The Beatles” or “The Beach Boys” or early Motown hits. By the end of my senior year, I owned every Beatles album and remember playing each new one to death each time I’d get my hands on it. For the purposes of this list, I’ll lump all my Beatles CDs into one.

To the best of my recollection, here is my not so cool list.

1. The Beatles – (top three albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Please Please Me)
2. Beach Boys – The Greatest Hits – Volume 1: 20 Good Vibrations
3. Motown 16 #1 Hits
4. Boston – Boston
5. The Ronettes – The Best Of
6. The Rascals – Time Peace
7. BJ Thomas – Greatest Hits
8. Forrest Gump – The Soundtrack
9. Paul McCartney – All The Best
10. Johnny Rivers – Greatest Hits (thanks, Arthur)

Honorable Mention:
Michael Jackson – HIStory
Oasis – Definitely Maybe
REM – Out of Time
The Cranberries – Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can’t We
Live – Throwing Copper
