For the past nine months, Kejda and I (but mostly Kejda) have been working on a new start-up venture. Even though we just launched today, we’re already experiencing a positive ROI. We’re in this one for the long-term but we definitely expect rapid growth.
Her name is Rosamund Louise Hussey and after we pulled an all-nighter, she was launched at 2:51 PM today, weighing in at a healthy 6 lbs and 15.8 ounces. And we love her very much.

Congratulation on your new start-up. She is beautiful! I remember the day my daughter (the first) was born–I was 27 (in 1968). I was riding on the highest cloud ever! She teaches high school today and has two sons who are in university.
My comment (Question) has to do with your family genealogical database. I have been working diligently on my own family tree to get it up to date. The person in question is Marie Godard (1634) wife of Toussaint Giroux (1633). You have her origin as France and her Mother and Father as Robert Godard and Antoinette Grandpierre from France.
My research on Marie Godard indicates that she was not the daughter of Robert and Antoinette Godard.
Do you have documentation to substantiate Marie’s birth in France? The archives I researched in Quebec do not have such evidence in their possession. It is very likely that some family members are trying to distance themselves from having aboriginal roots; hence the fabrication. What I have determined is that she was very likely 2nd or 3rd generation Algonquin Native who was taught by colony members such as Marie Hebert. The documentation is very sparse but points more to this conclusion!

Marie Godard being First Nation – I have documented in my Paternal lines 4 Aboriginal ancestors already and am certainly looking forward to more! Would you be willing to forward this “proof”. Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! She’s precious.
I’d like you to reflect on something, in light of being a parent. How would you feel if we started a RateThatBaby site and started publically criticizing your beautiful child? That’s how educators and their parents feel about what you’ve done with RateMyTeachers. Please, think about it.
In my first year teaching, your site nearly destroyed me. I was spending 16-18 hours a day in the classroom with low pay, scarce resources, and inadequate training. Despite these obstacles, I felt reasonably happy, and I perceived that the students were reasonably happy … until I discovered an unkind student comment on your site. From there, things went downhill: I grew suspicious, stopped trusting students, and lost joy in my new profession. Your site was counterproductive, and as a novice teacher I needed people to nurture and boost my confidence, not anonymously rip it down. How would you have felt if that were your daughter in her first job? Again, please think about this.
Your site has the potential to boost educators if you could retool it to be a message board of praise and encouragement. Maybe you’ve heard this quote from Charles Schwab: “I have yet to find a man, however exalted his station, who did not do better work and put forth greater effort under a spirit of approval than under a spirit of criticism.” This is how we educators will treat your child; please extend the same philosophy toward us.
